Text Box: Phone FISH
Answer the phone 2-3days a month, listening to personal problems that need addressing by FISH or some other referral agency.  You are taught about the different social services offered through the county.  Confidentiality is a must.
Text Box: Pantry Workers: 
Assist clients in verifying they are on their scheduled day, explain how the pantry works as far as the amount of items they can take, how much weighed food they get for their size family, help find items, weigh and bag all items.  You will work just 2-3 days a month for a few hours of your time.  If at all possible, you may choose your own time and days.
Text Box: Office Volunteer
Keep our records current with a variety of skills ranging from entering data or building spread sheets on the computer.  Research into background of helpful agencies.
Due to the personal information being accessed, we cannot have volunteers doing their community service hours in this position.
Text Box: Oxford/Orion FISH is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization 100% staffed by VOLUNTEERS that help people in our community.  These are our friends and neighbors that may be physically or mentally handicapped, elderly, or just down on their luck.  As a volunteer, you get to decide how much you can help one day a month, two days, weekly or more. 
Text Box: On Call Volunteers: 
You will get a call to fill in for one of our volunteers in the office, pantry, Forgotten Harvest truck, Gleaners truck, etc when one of our volunteers cannot make their scheduled shift.  Sometimes this is a last minute call.  If any of these positions are something you would be interested in, then after training that is what on call list you would go on.
Text Box: Pantry Maintenance and Stock help:
Come in weekly, or twice a month to help keep our pantry shelves stocked for our clients.
Text Box: Client review: Interview clients to verify specific needs, income eligibility and area of residency.
